SPAARSH lends atouch of compassion toour community service segment. Besides taking up various issues related to our community in general, we also volunteer for noble causes like Blood Donation Camps, Polio Eradication and similar public welfare programs organized by various community groups or Government Agencies, NGO's etc.
Spaarsh joins hands with likeminded Social organizations and Clubs to conduct various awareness programs and services, which are of vital importance to our society. One such associationwasfor the implementation of a social project called JALADAYINI, a purified drinking water project implemented at Pandit Mothilal Govt. High School, Palakkad in Association with an Alumni wing of the school. The project was an immense success and of vital importance as the students over the years where struggling without proper drinking water facility.
Spaarsh also lends a helping hand on occasions when Natural disasters, merciless acts of terror or riots create havoc in our society. Our Volunteers reach out to the victims and lend all possible support for their rehabilitation. The inception of Sanmarg itself was based on such an instance relating to Tsunami relief work during December 2004. Some districts in Kerala where very badly hit, by the monster waves. Committed to reach out to the people in their dire times, a handful of likeminded people from Palakkad district in Kerala joined hands with each other to do all they can at the hour of need.
Having known from reliable sources regarding the need for support and assistance in getting the children back to school, many of whom had lost everything in the Tsunami, including their homes, this group set out to Alapuzha district, one of the worst hit areas in Kerala to reach out to the victims. They travelled extensively covering many schools and rehabilitation camps distributing Books, School Bags and other learning aids covering hundreds of students in the process in an effort to get them back to school.
Motivated by the results from their efforts in this important endeavor, this group decided to stay united and went ahead to register a charitable trust by the name Sanmarg, which over the decade has succeeded in harnessing hope and happiness in our society.
